Black-winged Kite - Owlish looks and red eyes

Black-Winged Kite (Elanus caeruleus)
This little kite is distinctive, with its white, grey and black plumage, owl like face and intimidating eyes with brilliant red irises.
They are also known as black-shouldered kites
These birds were captured on camera during the early hours of the morning from a hot air balloon.
