Cheetah - The Fastest on earth

Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus)
Fastest land animal that can go from 0 to 60 in just 3 seconds and generate a blazing speed of up to 80 mph (130 kmph). However they can keep this speed for only 20 to 30 seconds to prevent overheating.
In full speed it takes 3 strides per second with each of it's stride being 7 meters (20 feet) - close to 60 feet in a second.
Cheetah comes from the Sanskrit word "Chitra-ya" meaning "painted one"
