The long-crested eagle is a distinctive eagle due to the long, shaggy crest and all dark plumage making it's head look like a Spartan Helmet
Its native name is Kamusungu sungu
The Eagle is a "sit and wait" hunter.
It waits on a perch, scanning the ground and glides in to swoop the prey which are predominantly rodents
